I tend to have desserts as a separate “meal”. I just have them as an afternoon snack because I’m quite full after dinner and I don’t crave anything sweet. However, this healthy Black Sesame Plum Yogurt Parfait recipe is an exception because it is very light and fresh, and it’s a very good suggestion even after dinner.
Ingredients for 4 plum yogurt parfaits:
- 350 g plums
- 200 g yogurt
- 30 g meringues
- 25 g sugar
- 20 g honey
- 5 g black sesame seeds
- 1 cinnamon stick
Preparation:
- Place 20 g sugar and 1 tbsp. water in a frying pan over high heat. When the water has evaporated a bit, add the black sesame seeds and stir.
- Pour the substance over a baking parchment sheet and quickly spread it (flatten it out?) with a spoon. Leave it aside until completely cool.
- Wash the plums, remove the stones and cut them into tin slices.
- Into a small saucepan, pour 6 tablespoons water and the remaining 5 grams of sugar. Add the plum slices and the cinnamon stick, and stew for about 5 minutes.
- Into a bowl, crumble the meringues into big pieces. Add the yogurt and honey, and stir.
- Divide the yogurt into 4 serving bowls.
- Remove the cinnamon stick, and add the plum slices to the yogurt parfaits.
- Break the black sesame caramel bark into pieces and decorate the plum yogurt parfaits.
Bon appetit!
