You might think that this recipe is really weird but it’s actually something we remember from our childhood. We rarely remember about it, and prepare it even more rarely, but when we do, all our memories are coming back to us with a smile. So we dedicated this recipe for a breakfast pasta with Feta cheese and sugar to all of you that know it, but have forgotten about it, and to everyone else that didn’t know that you can eat Italian pasta even sweet.
Ingredients for 2 portions:
- 300 g pasta
- 200 g Greek style Feta cheese
- 6 tbsl. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- ½ tsp. salt
Preparation:
1. Boil the pasta according to the instructions on the package. 2. Crumble the Feta cheese. 3. Drain the pasta from the water and transfer into deep plates. 4. Top with the crumbled Feta cheese and sugar. Stir well, while they are still hot, and wait for 1-2 minutes for the sugar to melt.
Bon appetit!
The amount of sugar depends on everyone’s personal taste. For me, 2 ½ tbsp. per portion is perfect, but some people may prefer it more or less sweet.
For this recipe you can use pretty much any type of pasta, but the medium and small sized are the best – fusilli, papardelle, penne, rigatoni, conchiglie (sea shells), etc.
