No self-respectable blogger and cocktail connoisseur should miss the opportunity to publish the recipes for the best and most widely spread cocktails out there.
The Tequila we had at home wasn’t our favourite, so we decided to make a cocktail out of it. The first one to spring up in my mind was, of course, Margarita. I have the feeling there isn’t a single film where they aren’t drinking Margarita cocktails, and this is a reason good enough for me so I rolled up my sleeves and here it is – this lovely liquid goodness. According to what you have at home, you can make this cocktail with either lime or lemon.
Ingredients for 4 Margarita cocktails:
- 200 Тequila
- 125 Cointreau
- 75 ml lemon juice (2 lemons)
- 4 ice cubes
- Salt
Margarita Cocktail Preparation:
- Place the empty cocktail glasses into the freezer.
- Pour the Tequila, Cointreau and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker.
- Add the ice cubes and shake well.
- Pour the salt onto a plate or shallow dish. With a lime wedge, rub the rim of each glass. Dip the glasses upside down into the salt, to salt the rims.
- Pour the liquid into the salt-rimmed glasses and garnish.
Cheers!
Tip: You can garnish each glass with a lime wedge or thin lemon rind. Don’t forget to cut the pulp off of the peel so that you have a few long thin strips of peel before you squeeze the juice out. Decorate with cocktail umbrellas for a finishing touch.
